Twenty-eight-year-old Ryosuke Kikuchi agreed to an estimated salary of 240 million yen in 2019 (up 50 million yen from this season). During a press conference on December 21, Kikuchi told reporters that he informed the Hiroshima Carp that he wanted to play in the Majors and hoped to be posted before he earns his international free agent option.
Kikuchi is slated to earn his domestic free agent option next year. Assuming no injuries, he should be on track to earn his international free agent option two years after that (some time in 2021).One Comment

According to Daily Sports and Nikkan Sports, Lawrence agreed to a salary worth an estimated 520,000 US dollars plus incentives and a signing bonus worth an estimated 300,000 US dollars.0 Comments

Koichi Ogata agreed to a new contract on November 23. He met Hiroshima Carp officials and worked out a deal on a one-year contract worth an estimated 100 million yen (up ten million yen from this year). Next year will be Ogata’s fifth year as manager of the Carp.0 Comments

The Hiroshima Carp announced that they reached an agreement with thirty-year-old pitcher Kyle Regnault. He was assigned the uniform number 58.
