[7/3/2017] Takehiro Ishikawa hurts ankle while trying to turn double play

Takehiro Ishikawa hurt his left ankle during a game against the Yomiuri Giants at Tokyo Dome on July 2. Ishikawa suffered the injury when he attempted to complete a double play with a throw to first as Seiji Kobayashi slid into second base in the fifth inning. He had to be helped off the field. Umpires reviewed the film and found nothing wrong with the slide.

[10/14/2016] Takehiro Ishikawa hurts right arm/elbow

Takehiro Ishikawa hurt his right arm/elbow when he crashed into a wall while catching a ball in foul territory during the eighth inning of a game against the Hiroshima Carp at Mazda Stadium on October 14. He was removed from the game after the play.

Takehiro Ishikawa hurt his right elbow during pre-game practices on September 7. He was taken off the active roster today and replaced by Koki Yamashita.

[6/17/2016] Takehiro Ishikawa misses pre-game practices

Takehiro Ishikawa missed pre-game practices  today because he was not feeling well. He was examined at a hospital in Yokohama and diagnosed with a mild case of gastroenteritis. He is considered day-to-day.

[6/13/2016] Takehiro Ishikawa bruises right elbow

Takehiro Ishikawa suffered a bruise on his right elbow when he stole second base in the top of the fifth inning of a game against the Orix Buffaloes at Kyocera Dome on June 12. He was removed on defense in the bottom-half of the inning as a precaution.

[4/8/2016] Ishikawa and Yamaguchi set to rejoin the Ichi-gun team today

Takehiro Ishikawa (right elbow) is set to join the Ichi-gun team today.

Shun Yamaguchi (right ankle) will also join the Ichi-gun team today, ahead of his first Ichi-gun start on April 9 against Yakult.

The Bay Stars are expected to start Shoichi Ino, Yamaguchi, and Kenta Ishida during the Yakult series that begins today. Yasutomo Kubo’s next start will most likely be pushed back from April 9 to April 12 against Hanshin.

[4/5/2016] Takehiro Ishikawa might still need about two more weeks at Ni-gun

Takehiro Ishikawa had surgery to clean out his right elbow in November last year. He played in a rehab game on April 5, but left early after he took an HBP off his right calf. The Bay Stars believe he suffered nothing more than bruise. Assuming the calf is fine, he still might need about two more weeks at Ni-gun.
